I got my 2016 Iron for 8k OTD. I went in on a snowy evening on Dec. 28th. After Christmas, but before the new year. It was about an hour before closing. I was looking at used Sporty 1200 on consignment that was too used for my taste at 9k. I just threw it out..."8k and were are done here. I will bring a trailer to pick it up tomorrow morning." Not that it matters, but the WAF is awesome! My wife LOVES this bike!

 

I was just in your shoes looking at the Iron 883. I found hear, (East Texas) there were a lot of Iron 883's on Craig's list with under 600 miles. Some crazy cheap. The 2017's are out here on the showroom floors at ~$9200 and the new 2016's are ~$8700.
As I was told, try other dealers. You'll find some more willing to deal.

 

I paid $11,000 OTD for my 2016 but that was with ABS and the security system which added $1400. so mid $9000's would have been my price without the extras. Also that was before the 2017's came out. Keep in mind if you are going to finance, I got different rates from different dealers.

 

I got my 2016 Iron 883 for an 8700 trade-in plus 969 cash, which works out to 9669 OTD.

Try the simi valley harley dealer in Ventura county. They had some 1200 for 8 to 9k. Are you set on 2016? You could find new 2015 for a steal.

I am trying to sell my 2016 denim charcoal Iron right now. It has 1620 miles and is in showroom condition. It has highway pegs and 100 mi. service complete. I will take 8200 for it. I do have a loan on it, but we can figure that out easy enough.
