Damn, you guys are in a league of your own. Of the thousands of things you could post about, inquire about, talk about ya'll pick out a hole in your fenders.
Ask yourselves this question: "Self, would the mo co put a hole in the top of the fender so they could hang it to paint, and leave it there". Why would they do that when they could just hang it from any one of the bolt holes used to secure it to the fork?
I think splatter may be onto something, but ya never know.

I heard it was a tie-down point for bikes that get frieghter shipped overseas.........
Or was it a little padlock hole so's nobody steals your fender?
