I have a fully loaded Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 and the Sportster. The big Kaw weighs in over 750 lbs, and handles better then the Sportster.
The Sportster is more of a go kart type vehicle, fun under the right riding conditions.

Congrats on the new bike lifestarts.

Congrats on the new ride. Get a quick-detach shield for the highway rides. You won't feel as tore up at the end of the day.
