That's what I was hoping for...little more light up front. I will say the LED in the bucket is well worth that upgrade. I'd not ride as much at night if not for that bright white light.

THANKS!

Thanks for the great info. I've been thinking about replacing the stock crap headlight.

I just had this light installed on my Iron883 and used it a couple times on the freeway at night and works great, I did not feel the need to use the high beam. Here is a picture comparing the low beam with the stock light...

Well I bought this light: Wiipro 45W 9PCS LED Chips Black Chrome 5.75 Inch Round LED Projection Daymaker Headlight for Harley Davidson Dyna Motorcycles Lights

It was only about 80 bucks and I can return it, so I figure its worth the risk. Hopefully it will be an easy install on my 07 Sportster, but we'll see.

This is a great thread. I've got lighting on my list of winter projects. Thanks for all the great info guys. Keep it coming.

AK883xl I'm particularly interested in what light bar you chose. Can you post that info?

For $400 I'd like to be sure it worthwhile and not hard to install. Thanks.
I went with the Harley Daymaker. Install took about 5 minutes by myself. Huge difference in lighting performance; the stock headlight was like a dim candle. Just make sure to take the time to level out the projection beam so your not blinding oncoming traffic.

Another LED headlight I've been looking at is the Sunpie Daymaker Projector LED, it seems to be pretty well reviewed.

I just installed this today. Waiting for the sun to go down to see how much of a difference it makes.

Can you explain how you leveled out the projector beam? I don't have a manual for such.

Well the Wiipro 5.75" Daymaker LED did not fit into the cup after I removed the lens. It plugged in to the receptacle w/no problem, but the bulb/lens module would not fit into the 3" hole. Too bad, its a nice looking light. I have a Sportster 883 '07.

Also, there is no such company as Wiipro as far as I could find. I bought the light on Amazon.
