Don't plan on living in Hawaii if you don't ride in the rain! It'll be clear one moment, then you ride straight into a downpour. Never deters me anymore.

Rode home on Friday. Was clear when I left work and was pouring water out of my boots when I got home. Damn things are still wet! Wont be the last time either I suppose.

If the "king of cool" wore them to run cross bikes during competitions, it must be good stuff.

It won't melt on the exhausts, it is tough, and rewaxing them once a year is more than enough to keep it completely waterproof.

Quite expensive when new, but you cant get them cheaper on Ebay.co.uk:

That's the worst part about getting caught in a downpour.......the waterlogged boots!!

I'll always ride to work (70miles round trip) as long as it's not raining when I wake up, if it's at least 45F Degrees or higher and if the weather channel shows the chance of rain below 60%. I agree with TStephen, the worst part about getting caught in the rain is my boots getting full of that sweet rain haha. It happened this past Friday on my way from work. Then on Saturday on the way to visit a friend about an 1 1/2 hour south of me I got caught in a downpour on the interstate. Although my t-shirt and jeans dried by the time I got to her house we spent the whole day riding around while i was wearing soaked socks and chucks. haha

And riding in hip-waders really isn't an option.
