Default Air filter help

I have a joker Machines air cleaner that uses a 4 inch k and n filter. It's been on there for 8 years and only rode 5 k miles since then.

Noticed today there was a lot of gunk on the bottom of the filter.

Should I replace it ? Run it under water ? Just wipe it clean?

If i replace it is there a cheaper generic one I could get ?

Clean it Simple to do, the K&N is designed to be cleaned and re-oiled...

Yeah that

Also consider external breathers...check DK Customs

These are external breather bolts with double foam filter to eliminate the oil mist.

Completely agree hscic! I'd never allow that hot, oily, oxygen depleted crankcase gas back in to any of my A/C's; venting crankcase gasses to atmosphere is the only way to go; the EPA can bite me

you should be cleaning it, regularly. I find the 4 inch K&n gets dirty pretty fast.
