Default Biltwell Clubman handlebars.

I would like to order these handlebars. For the "bar type" option, what is non-dimpled?

Do I need to be aware about anything else before purchasing?

There are indented dimples in the bars where the switch wires run though the lever perches. I think the design sucks, because it's easy to pinch wires, and if your bike falls on the throttle side it can also cause wiring damage. JMHO. Look at your existing bars where the controls and wiring goes toward the steering stem. Also, make sure you get "knurled" bars as well, so the riser clamps have a rough surface to grip.

I know you cant get knurled from biltwell. Also I thought they didnt make clubmans with dimples (biltwell). Personally i dont think it matters and while I do believe it technically modifies the structural integrity I cant imagine by much.

Therefore the question is simple: Do you want your wires to run in the dimples and be a bit more tidy?

Personally I have Biltwell Maynards which dont have the knurling but I think it holds well enough. If you are worried about it you can rough it up with rough grit sandpaper (only in the center) and I imagine it would be similar albeit less adequate for the risor clamp. Just my two cents but I can say I am pleased with the biltwell quality for price.
