Well, installed a siren to my daughters Sportster Forty Eight. Couldn't find any videos or instructions anywhere on doing this to a sporty, so had to just figure it out myself. Checked out some wiring diagrams online and found the plug and went from there. Turned out pretty good and seems louder than the one on my shark. Used the same Piezo 108dB siren as on mine. Here's a quick video...I should've done an instructional video since there were none online. But too late now. lol It was definitely not as easy accessing that little plug. Was kinda buried, but can be accessed behind the rear jug in a plastic cover ahead of the ECM and BCM.

 

Is it a security alarm or just for fun?

 

if your scoot is already equipped with the security system but not the Siren i did a post a while ago about adding one , nothing fancy but it works just the same and not cost an arm and a leg ..

Not my scoot, my daughters as stated above. I checked awhile back, even posted a question about it...crickets...so havent checked back since due to receiving goose eggs. You're right, nothing fancy. Cheers

 

if i had seen the post i would have left a reply !! but yeah its a good little siren for sure . it will keep away the kids, but not the ones who reallllly want to take it ..
