Default 2014 883 High Idle problem

Hi

I have a 2014 883 Sportster...got it 6 months ago and its my first bike.

Has V+H short shots and screaming eagle stage 1

Bike works great other than it has started to idle increasingly high on cold start. Normal Idle is about 1000 but now it is going up to about 2000 for around a minute before it calms down.

Other than being annoying I'm worried its a symptom of something more sinister as it seems to be getting worse not better....has anyone experienced this before and any idea as to the cause?

Thanks

Mine is set at 1600 in the ecm. I can change that with my power vision. It is set high and comes down gradually as the engine warms up. Mine idles at 1050 when it reaches operating temp. All of it can be programmed.

I noticed that i could modify the map at 0% throttle for the range below 2000 rpm to send less fuel and it would lower the idling.

Mine idles 900-1000 once warmed up. I use the Fuelpak FP3 with a similar setup. Only idles high when restarting it after warm but settles back down fairly quick.

I'm assuming you mean a Screamin' Eagle intake here. Did you tune the bike once you put on the pipes and the Stage 1? Either with your own tuner or a reflash through the dealer?

I bought it with it all on already, and yes i mean the intake

It was all done by a dealer but what bugs me is that it didnt do it when i bought it (in December), it just started doing it about 2 months ago and seems to be getting worse

I'm really not sure how it was tuned. Sounds like I should take it to the dealer

Thanks!
