Default Roadsters seat

So here is the well loved mustang wide solo (borrowed off of my wife's Iron). Not exactly the right look in my mind. I imagine I could get used to it, but the stock seat looks right with the bike, but of course 30 minutes in to the ride and it says change me. Considering having stock seat redone by mean city. Roland Sands has some great looking seats, but not sure about their comfort. Unfortunately, and inexcusable, they do not put seat widths on their site! Anyone have experience with RSD seats? The stock is rather narrow at 10" wide and thin, not all seats the same size would feel the same, but I think a couple inches wider is in order.

I had the RSD Cafe but didn't get on with it. I gave it a few hundred miles to break in as people suggested, but it just didn't suit me and never got any more comfortable then the OEM one on my Iron. I ended up with a Mustang Solo which suited me from the outset.

yea, that mustang looks pretty massive on your slim-line bike. With that stubby rear fender your seat options are limited aesthetically. A dual seat would cover the entire fender up, so solo seats seem like a logical option. I think your in that crappy spot where you will end up having to choose, aesthetics or comfort...
Even worse, you usually end up having to buy and try a seat before you can make a decision so each "test" can cost like $300.....

I went with the Mustang Fastback on my nightster and love how it covers the back half and sweeps, but I think with your short fender it wouldnt look right. it would just end right where your fender does...

Good luck with the seat hunt, that stock seat does fit that bike stupid good. its too bad a stock sportster seat is NEVER comfortable....

I have the RSD Enzo on my 48. I can measure it when I get home if you like?

I think most of the RSD seats are actually made by Mustang seats.

Thanks that would be great! How would you rate it for comfort and are you a little over 200lbs like myself?

Yes they are, RSD posts that on their site. While I have a great impression of their wide vintage, I once bought a day tripper from mustang and it was the worst seat I had ever had, killed my tailbone. That was on a 1200 custom, the stock seat was better.

That fastback looks good on there, how is the comfort? How wide is the seat? My fender is short but all the holes are the same. It is 1.5" shorter than the Iron/Nightster fender. I think a seat like yours with the taper would look good, a full back seat would look out of place.
