I just spoke to my mechanic and he confirmed that the timing maps are not off of 883. They adjusted that to reflect the 1250 upgrade...not on the dyno tho. Either way he also confirmed that I am in no way in danger of damaging pistons and/or cylinders.

that is good to hear. But if you take out a few degrees of timing at idle speeds that will help it turn over easier when starting.

Almost 97 hp at only 6,300 rpms!!! Great number for 883 heads.

Looks like you would have easily broken 100 hp if he had taken it to 7,000 rpms. You can write to dyno jet and get a code that will allow the bike to rev to 7,000 rpms.

Nice looking dyno sheet. Looks like you could have easily broken 100 hp if he had taken it to 7,000 rpms. Why did he shut it down so early?
Thanks!! Is this something I can take care of on my own or have to bring it in to the person who dyno'd my bike?

Here is the link to the dynojet page to get the code for the higher rev limit:

http://www.powercommander.com/downlo...dReqForm-1.pdf

You will need to have the PC5 software loaded into a laptop to download it. The shop that dynoed your bike should be able to do it easily. Same for the ignition timing

that flat torque curve is awesome! Makes 80 ft lbs immediately and just holds it!! Must be a hoot to ride.

Once in maybe 50 years...but recently, my 02 sporty had a delay such as op describes. After several weeks of this weird action the fairly new AGM battery shorted itself dead, fast. Brought scooter to stop as volts went to zero. I hypothesized a structural failure in the internal bus of the battery. Replacement AGM went zero volts open at 11 months. Third battery the vendor sent as second warranty now in my parts reefer (stays about 50 degrees) while a wallyworld AGM is working...

Just saying...

I tend to agree that a tad late on the 1250 timing is a good idea, better than a bit early! But if it's like the battery I had it'll make this clear pretty quick.

Unfortunately until you get the special code from dynojet, 6,300 is max rpms for a PC5 so he didn't do anything wrong. The tune looks spot on so he knows what he is doing. Hopefully once you get the code he will pull it for you again as I would love to see what the hp is at 7,000 rpms.

what cams are you using?

The starter on my Saltster (11.3:1 cr) was starting to drag, two yr old battery. Replaced the battery and now it fires off in a millisecond. jus sayin' BTW, that is a very, very, very flat torque curve.
