Question about progressive 412 cruise shocks..
I got a sweet deal on a 2012 forty-eight but after riding it an hour on 580 from SF to Dublin I decided something had to be done about the suspension..
I just installed a set of progressive 412 cruise shocks and ran into two concerns I thought somebody may have some insight into:
1.) One of the shocks is about 1/8(maybe 1/16, didn't actually measure) longer than the other. OR, the swing arm is out of alignment by that much. Is this normal? I unfortunately put the shorter side on first and had to remove it and do the longer side first. Then, I had to fiddle with the lift to lower the bike just right so as to compress the other shock and line up the bolts just right on the other side :|
2.) One of the shocks makes a hissing(swishing, sucking, etc) noise when I bounce on the suspension. Just one. Sounds like a mint FOX mountain bike shock. This wouldn't concern me that much except that only one of them makes the noise. Is this cause for concern? Any else experience this? I may have to email progressive about this...
Any advice is welcome! Cheers!
