Default 2016 48 Fairing options?

Hey guys trying to figure out what fairing will work with the new 2016 48 model. Has anyone bought a dyna fairing and it just be direct bolt on or are people getting specific fairing brackets maybe? Not sure and im somewhat of a noob so sorry in advance if this sounds like a dumb question. Please give me your thoughts as im looking to add one to my 48.

Thanks

Real helpful OddJack. Trying to up the post count?
Hope someone comes up with some answers carnage48 since I'm sure you and I aren't the only ones who would like to do this. I like the stock look too but will have to go with a easyoff/on windshield if nothing else comes up.

If you're under 5'9" I recommend the Dart fly screen. It breaks the wind nicely and looks good is easy to install.
I'm 5'10" and find while it blocks wind quite well it blows it straight into my helmet. I may put it back on in the winter but it's gone for the summer as I want to be able to ride with my face shield up.

Personally I have seen a couple of sportsters with them and they looked great. I do a lot of miles a year and the extra protection is great. Have used windshields on all my bikes for 25 years now and if you like open faced helmets but also like to listen to music a fairing or ws is a must. Yeh, yeh I like the music of my mufflers too but not for 8 hrs a day for a month or two at a time.

There are only two reasons: 1- Too many mosquitoes where you ride 2- you want to up the post count.

I've seen some 48s with HD quarter fairing here in NY. You buy the HD Fairing, docking hardware and the quick release clamps. Looks good but expensive.

Or you can do what I did. Put a West Eagle Fairing. I have a 2016 Roadster, the headlight mounts at the bottom tree like your 48. Took 15 mins to align and install.

How much does this do to actually push air away from your face when upright?? I would think this one is primarily aesthetic and maybe to protect the back side of the gauges from bug damage... It has a sharper angle than the one on my buell, and my buell shield only blocks the wind if I lay down on the tank....

It does look pretty sweet though if your looking for something to change up the looks of your sporty

A small fairing will not remove wind from hitting your face. I use a full face helmet so it don't bother me. My fairing is more for show and to hide some cables and gauges but I am putting a spacer to raise the lamp and fairing just a bit, enough to push the wind away from my chest.

If you want more wind protection, get the T Sport Fairing off of an Fxdx or buy the Conleys. I saw a Sporty on IG with that set up.
