Don't know carnage48's intention but I thought he meant bigger fairings than flyscreens. I was talking about this

If that fairing was an easy off I would love that to cross-country with instead of the usual little w/s I use. Around town no big deal but for long trips it would be great.

This is a Harley part, retail $250, bought on line for $199.
Did just what I wanted, small, knocks wind off chest so you dont feel like your being pulled of the bike at speed and does not stand out.

Hey guys,

Just bought a new 2017 HD 48, and am having trouble finding a fairing that will fit the bike.. I have researched and found a fairing that was supposed to fit my bike ( "Memphis Shades Cafe Fairing" ) But after i received it, they advised me that they do NOT make a mounting kit for the new 2017 48... Im bummed.. Love the look of the fairing, but cant put it on my bike. Anyone know of a fairing that is similar, that will fit on my bike? Thanks!

There are a options. The Dart screen as noted above is small enough. My GF has one on her Iron.
I had the Memphis Shades on mine before moving to a Batwing. Takes a lot of pressure off the chest as you accelerate I know that
And it is quick release and can be taken of in 5 seconds

I don't know... But this is the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw this post.

Sounds more like something you'd be discussing about a XL1200T or XL1200C than a Xl1200X.

anything that fits a dyna (except fatbob and wide glide) is good. you need 49mm/adjustable fork clamps or alternative mounts for mid glide 49mm front ends.

people are pulling the stock fairing off of low rider s bikes and putting them in the classifieds too.

That's what you would put on a 48? Wouldn't it have been better to have bought a T or C from the get go?
