Throttle got tighter overnight?
2016 48 with 1900 miles.
Somehow my throttle got a lot tighter overnight and I'm not sure how. I adjusted the throttle adjustment screw but I can't seem to get it loose like it was from the factory.
I went for a ride, parked it and the next day it was really tight. How the hell did this happen? Has anyone else experience this?

Maybe the little plastic shoe inside that gets tightened/loosened with that thumb screw came off or isn't aligned properly inside.
Open it up and take a peak.

Will do sir. Not sure how to do it just yet but I'll figure it out.

There is no reason to f**k with that little star screw. It does not adjust the cables, it is not a "hillbilly" cruise control. I guess it's best use is setting a fixed idle speed to check timing. Other than that, it's useless IMO. Each cable has it's own adjuster, buy a service manual, it's real easy to adjust it properly. Good luck.

That star-shaped **** IS a hill-billy cruise control! It presses on a black plastic pad inside the throttle housing, which in turn presses against the twistgrip. It's a friction device, which can either lock the twistgrip in a set position, or backed off will add a little friction, to slow the action down.
Take care when you dismantle the switch housing, as not only can that black pad escape, but so also can a small brass spring. There have been a couple of references to them in recent weeks, including my thread here. Go to post #12.
A factory service manual is a great idea, even for a small job like this one. As for the stiff action, that could be down to the cables needing a bit of lubrication, even the twistgrip itself.

Is this the service manual or does anyone have any better recommendations?

I'll get the dealership involved if it's something major. I should be able to handle this myself. I want to get to know the bike anyway.
