largest rear tire size?
whats the largest rear tire size you can put on a 2007 1200 nightster? i assume that the other 1200xl would be able to use the same?

I believe the swingarm is the same size as the Custom. With that being said, you can put an 18"x3.5" wheel with a 160 tire. Thats the biggest you can go on any 2005+ Sportster.....I would make sure its going to fit the fender of the Nightster...that I am not sure about.

what's the stock size on a custom? Is this much bigger? I remember reading the 2005 model year included a 1" wider rear axle then previous years.

Factory on a '05 Custom is 150/80 - 16, the axle on the '05 is 1" diameter, up from 3/4" on previous years not 1" wider.
