any one else have issues with rounding/ crewing up your exhaust flange bolts?

I installed a new exhaust and had the front top flange nut come loose, so after re tightening, it just got all chewed up, so if it loosen up again. I may just get some lock washers and some nice great 8 nuts as not to worries about over tightening. suggestions?

They are grade 8 and must be properly torqued to spec's and by the procedure outlined in the service manual.

Do one to a specified torque they the other to full torque then back to the first one to full torque.

How do you bugger up a hex nut that is only torqued to about the same as the spark plug?

Their torque value is low as to allow some flexibility.

Probably not using the correct tools for the job. Without a swivel/universal joint, the socket on the end of a straight extension typically won't sit flush on the nut.

I also use 1/4" socket tools for the front exhaust for better clearance.

I agree with that 100% to include using 1/4 drive sockets.

Six sided sockets and box wrenches are always a good choice for sensitive applications. The standard 12 points are not a good choice IMO.

Use some good high temperature anti-seize lube on the studs as well and tighten as though the studs are made of pretzel sticks.

I bought SS nuts at Ace HW and "double nutted" them...never had one come loose.
