Idoubt this... I certainlyhavent see any in this price range or I would have a collection.

 

well you ready to start your collection?..i know where there is an 99' 883 for sale right now for 3.5k..and an 01' 883 for 3.5k and have seen 1200's as low as 4k in the paper in the past(rare but have seen it)... i think someone asking 5k for a 96 virago 750 is about 2-3k more than its worth..that was the point of my post..

 

I just paid $4k for my '96 1200 not a month ago, with about $600-$800 worth of 'extra stuff', including two windshields, spare pipes, another seat, and mid-mount pegs, original mirrors, etc...

cheap bikes can be had, and they're all HD.

 

Ok that clarifies things a bit. I dont want a 883, the cheapest 1200's I have seen around here of late are all starting in the 4k range. I htought you were saying 12oos were under 1k.
I got the gist of your post just missed the 1200 part.

I even misread it more I thought you were saying 1k while you were saying 1k less

i kinda thought you mis-read it..you say you want a 1200..but wouldnt you want an 883 before a 5k yamaha virago 750?..that guy must be crazy asking that much for a yamaha thats 11 years old..
