Well my little sister surprised me today. She calls and says she is outside with her new bike and I just stunned. So I go out there and much to my surprise, there sits a brand new 1200 Custom. Then she throws me the keys and says "take it out."

All I can say, is that it is a night and day difference from my 06 883xl. I loved the forward controls (I'm 6'2") and the power just never stopped coming. Grabbing 2nd was so sweet!!! I was very pleased. It also seemed to ride a bit smoother. The only complaint was that the brakes tended to fade alot quicker that the 883. They definitely should have came with double rotors up front.

I love my 05 1200,I had an 05 883.Day and night,the 883s are nice bikes as well.But the 1200 is a class by itself

 

I would try to convince her for bike swapping, tell her that her 1200 is way too powerful for her.

 

ummm when you spend for the conversion whats to say she wont upgrade and trump you again
I would just go trade for a 1200

 

There are no bad bikes. Only some are better than others !!
