Default Cut stock air filter cover (pics)

Never seen this done before for some reason, so I figured I'd post up some pictures. I just wanted some unrestricted flow to the engine while still retaining the stock look. Turned out pretty good I think.

That does look good! I considered something like this but the gains vs. chances I'd **** it up made me chicken out.

That does look good, one of the reasons I went with a Hurricane Flow was to keep the original ham can cover but once I polished up the outer plate of the Hurricane Flow I decided I liked that better than the chrome ham can.

Just used a hand dremmel with a cutting wheel. Easy peasy

Saw something similar to this on the "other" forums where a fellow jb welded and rivited the mesh from a office supply pencil holder inside of the air cover after he cut it. Looked pretty bad ***!
