XSFLOW-S1 vs SCREAMING EAGLE A/C with XiED
I read some post on stage 1 a/c and enough articles about EFI engines my head is spinning. I got an 08 xl1200c with V&H straight shot slip ons with the quit baffle so based on my budget this is what I am thinking, stage 1 a/c with an XiED plug and play. Here is my question:
XSFlow-S1- I like K&N a/c but I read there are fitment issues with the 1200.
Screaming Eagle - what is your review of this on.
I saw some post with guys that did this so how is the XiED working out for you?
All the HD dealers around me want 400 or more for a dyna tune so that is out of the budget at this point and the fps are in that range too. And much thanks too guys all your replies on the post I have read I have learned a lot it really helps guys like me. I always bought these 80's metrics for around a 1K and fixed em up and it drove my wife nuts when the ups guy keep dropping off boxes every day so when I got my sporty a few months back I told her I was buying a newer bike so I wouldnt mess with it well so much for that. The ups guy still keeps dropping boxes of every day! Getting all black control levers hand and foot, belt guard, engine guard etc, etc. Cant help myself.

There is a reason you see so many used XIED's for sale in the classifieds.
The XIED's didn't work properly on my 2014 1200 Custom.
Fuel Moto Micro Tuner did the job at a very affordable price ($189.) Free unlimited maps, stores 3 separate maps in the unit. Free basic shipping for Veterans.
Easy installation, best value tuner on the market IMO.

The Screaming Eagle works well and allows you to show the bling of the factory A/C cover.
To bring the SE A/C to life, replace the filter (when time) with a K&N filter. The SE A/C performs well as is, but there was a noticeable power increase once the K&N went in.
I also have a DK A/C setup and there is no seat of the pants difference between the SE A/C with K&N.
The SE A/C looks better with the chrome of the 1200 Custom.

You can get stage 1 ac and a tuner for less than $400. Check out DK customs, the Sportster forum sponsor for a good selection of stage 1 ACs. Fuelmoto Micro EFO tuner by Dynojet is about 200.
Xieds are okay and inexpensive, but has its limitations. I had a stage 1 setup and could not adjust my Vieds to get rid of the decel popping.
I purchased a powervision tuner....a bit pricey but well worth the money. It is a flash tuner but you can also use the unit to monitor ecm data such as rpm, battery voltage, engine temp, gear indicator, etc. Try buying those gauges separately.
Good luck and have fun with it.

Why even leave a reply like this. I just want to reduce my engine temp and richen my AFR. I just want to know if the product works as advertised.

Can it get any clearer to you? XIED's were a waste of money in my case.
They might help a stock bike and that's about it.

HaHaHa. Think I got it. I checked out the Fuel Motor Micro tuner but I did not see one for 08 models.
