Weigh in on 1250. NRHS or Hammer Perf?
I guess I should start by apologizing if it's out there somewhere but after searching and searching I couldn't find much to sway me. So here we go.
I have a 13 Iron that is, as far as performance goes, bone stock. I plan on swapping the air cleaner, leaning towards a power vision, a new clutch, and fairly set on short shots for exhaust. Other than that I am looking at going with NRHS or Hammer performance. I have heard a lot of great things about both companies and both Dans seem to be top notch. So my question is, for those of you out there that have personal experience in selection/installing/using 1250 kits, where did you put your money and why?
I am very open to also doing head/cam work (or rather having it done). NRHS says I can do the 1250 kit then decide later on head work. Hammer perf says make up my mind before doing anything.
Any/all advise is extremely welcome and appreciated.

Both are reputable companies and both Dan's are good to work with and helpful.
I chose Hammer because they always seem to be working on the next improvement, not sitting on their laurels. I've been very happy with my choice.
And IMO, Hammer gave you the best advice on the headwork & cams. The best results are achieved when everything is designed and built from the beginning to play well together, and achieve the maximum result.

The reason I went with Hammer is the big fin cylinders. Nhrs only had the small fin cylinders and those are for the older bikes. The big fin cylinders match the heads on the newer bikes. Couldn't be more happy with my Hammer kit.

I went with the Basic NRHS 1250 conversion on my 2009 883 and could not be happier with it.
Install was easy, everything went according to the instructions. I have 20K+ hard miles on it and it is just as strong as ever.
I'm a bit fanatical about watching engine and oil temps, and have had zero issues with heat, even when running all day long in 100* temps.
Some might say I did it because we are an NRHS dealer, this is not the case. We did not become and NRHS dealer until After I did the conversion.
After we were impressed with the Customer Service, the quality parts and the results we looked at becoming a Dealer.

Here is a Dyno of the Sporty before the NRHS 1250 Conversion-
(Even though these charts are illustrating the differences in TTI's, you can see the kind of power the stock 883 was making -48 & 50- and then what it is making with the NRHS 1250 conversion -73 & 82- )

A jump from 48 & 50 to 73 & 82, you can see why I'm happy with the $750 conversion! Actually, the numbers don't mean near as much as the fun it is to twist the throttle, as seen in the video above.
