put your pop bottle under the filter, Poke a hole in the bottom of the filter, then the top, this will allow almost all the oil to run out of the filter, THEN, remove it. There will be almost no oil in the filter to drip on the bike.

I started that the last Oil change, works great!

I did that based on someone's recommendation here.. It captured a lot of the oil but some did drip on the frame. The bottle can't go under the filter completely becuase there is a casting part of the block under the oil filter which is almost flush with the filter sealing surface.. Am I the only one who experienced this??

BTW - iasporty - your sig pic looks like your carrying an upside down garbage can on your back seat!!
You have to cut a notch in the bottle for the casting part, thenthe bottlefits flush and works fine
