Default Ok I was wrong and I'll admit it...

I recently did some upgrades on my bike and decided to go with the SE air, SE Street Performance Pipes and a PC III.

Everything is great EXCEPT I've decided that, although they sound better than stock - the SE Street Performance Pipes aren't quite loud enough.

To make a long story short I've ordered a set of the SE II's and will probably list the (now used) SE SP's at a discount either here or on Ebay.

The SE II's are getting harder to find so thanks to 128auto for putting me onto http://www.skagitharley.com/a while back - they still have 3 more pairs of the Baloney cut SEII's in stock if anyone is interested (They had about 50 in April when 128auto sent me the PM). They are $ 249.00 + $10.00 shipping and tax in certain states. Their number is 888-HD-HOGS or 360-757-1515 local.

Anyway, I guess once I swap em out I'll have to ride the throttle a little easier around my nice older neighbors..

My buddy put the Sceamin Eagle II's on his Night Train.I didn't like the sound at all. They sounded like they were made of tin.Almost like the were leaking, but they were not leaking. They made a hollow sound especially when you let it rev down or downshifted.I was gonna get them 'till I heard his.So I went with the V&H straightshots. They sound way better. My Sportster sounds more like a HOG then his train does.He hates it.LOL

Yea that is loud, but not as loud as some might think. Hell 2 Corvettes were louder! And to think a Stereo can be louder, hmmmmm
Pesonally, I like the sound of the SE II's that damn redneck loud Drag Pipe sound some Harleys has simply says redneck to me, it don't sound good and after a long day I imagine ya would be almost deaf!

Most pipes will sound somewhat tinney when first installed. I know my Cycle Shacks certainly did. Once they build up some carbon inside the pipes, they mellow out. The stock pipes are the same way, you just don't notice it, because you can't hear them.

Maybe a stereo can be louder... but that is my point. At 5am do you want to hear it. Rah, what do you do early in the morning during the winter to keep your neighbors honest? Jump in your truck and pull out some hard-core hip-hop rap chit?

Wow, they only have 3 set left? When I bought mine from Skagit Harley last September, they had 25 sets left, must be selling fast. I happened to cross the border shopping at that time and found them, Skagit Harley is nice to deal with, knowledgeable and friendly service. SEII sounds awesome, I haven't heard it on a Night train but everyone I know who owns the SEII seems to be really happy. If you want good sound on Night train, get yourself the V&H pro pipe, you got to listen to it to believe it.
