So im planning on getting the stock xr1200 left break caliper. but wanted to see if its worth getting either the brembo vrod caliper, or just a after market arllen ness caliper. any one have information on them.
I went with the XR12 one on my Iron and I'm very happy with it. When i was first considering the upgrade I found there are conversion brackets about so you can use other Brembo calipers. Also another recommended one is the Harrisson Billet 6 pot. Some more food for thought...

I will most likly go with the xr since it seems like the best and easier swap. but i Do like the look of the vrod caliper. and if its a straight swap like the xr i was hoping to find out.
after a few google searches. it seems like the vrod caliper needs or may need a bigger/more volume MC and the vrod rotor ! due to it being one large piston(idk) and the xr caliper uses a stock sporty rotor. So the xr caliper seems over all the easiest. so xr

The Brembo caliper is also best used with the larger 11.8 rotor. It'll work on the 11.5 stocker but doesn't grab the outermost edge. The XR caliper will work just fine with the 11.5 rotor you already have. Plus it looks a lot nicer IMHO
