your problems sound like one of three things to me.

Dont just tighten the battery cabels, give them a good tug. They go rotten inside and break.

Check the coil.

Check the the ignition mod in the nose cone.

just checked the spark plugs and I am not getting a spark!! spark plug wires are new... got them same time as the battery (about two weeks old). what should I check next on what the problem is?
