Default Headlight Modulators: Do you use them?

I am thinking of getting one of these and install on my 48.

I saw mixed reviews ( Different types of bikes).

Amazon.com: Signal Dynamics Plug & Play Headlight Module: Automotive Amazon.com: Signal Dynamics Plug & Play Headlight Module: Automotive

Have you used one and how's your experience? Do they draw too much current and cause any problems for the switches?

Had one on my V-Star when I first started riding.
However, after awhile I ended up putting a piece of tape over the light sensor to disable it.
Too many people telling me something was wrong with my headlight or pulling over in front of me (I guess thinking I was PD or something coming up behind them?)
It certainly does get you seen though!

I think it would be great if it had a switch where you could turn it on and off at will.

Ditto. Had a friend complain of the same things. And realistically, that's great people are mentioning there's something wrong with headlight. At least they care enough to let you know.

I have them on all of my bikes, but only use them mostly during city driving, when there is the possibility of someone pulling out in front of me. They do get you seen, for sure. The model I use only strobes during hi beam, and is adjustable to whatever ambient light level you want it to stop modulating at. Worth the money? If it saves your butt even one time, and it will, they are money well spent.

^^^^ what model are you using? Did you ever experience any technical issues with the bike's wiring at all? Like heating up wires or switches or the modulator itself?

I think they're goofy looking. I also don't want cars to focus on me, I'd rather they just see me and go on about their business. If they focus on me they might steer towards me.

Never had any problems with any of them.

Yeah that's the one I was looking at. Did you need the S model? It's the smaller version of P115W

I'm using the P115W. Look on Ebay, and you might even find them ten or twenty dollars cheaper.
