I don't see a problem removing the front signals if you are allowed by law. How could that make it more dangerous?
You're being sarcastic, right? How would someone coming the other way know you're turning?

I don't carehow safe you are but if you take them off you won't be able to relocate them so no saddle bags. ( for thse of you with little or nocommon sense that was a joke)

J&P Cycles has Chrome covers for the struts where the rear ones once were.

I installed the $59 rear Kurayakyn turn/brake/flash module kit on my bike with red lenses on the rear turn signals. Now I have 3 brake lights. Anything to keep from being rearended is worth it. Just how well do hand signals work at night?? I just want to keep from being run over.

the PAvehicle code 3335 states "any motor vehicle in use on a highway shall be equipped with, and required signal shall be given by, signal lamps when the distance from the center of the top of the sterring post to the left outside limit of the body, cab, or load of the motor vehicle exceeds 24 inches, or when the distance from the center of the top of the steering post to the rear limit of the body or load exceeds 14ft.

the exception reads...this does not apply to a motor vehicle registered as an antique or classic vehicle which was not originally equipped with signal lamps.

if I saw you, you would be ticketed for stupidity...almost as stupid as riding w/o a helmet....just my two cents....

From what I hear, some places care, other don't.

Though a friend of mine got ticketed but they measured really close to the pipes and it says 50ft away, so the ticket got thrown out.

Oregon states that you can go without turn signals but must use hand signals. With mirrors, you must have one mirror on your left hand side. i have one mirror upside down on my left side, but have the turn signals. I just dont want to worry about doing hand signals when i need my hands on the handlebars.

Hey CHarley - is that an aux lighting kit on your bike or did you just relocate the front turn signals?

I'm really thinking of the aux lighting kit - I like the looks and potential increased visibility.
