With patience I have found it possible to do better than that. I bought a recent near-new 6 gallon Touring tank for my Glide for less than $100 with a small showroom dent. Admittedly it cost more than I paid for it to ship it to the UK, but it was still a bargain. My painter is also a panel beater, so the dent didn't challenge his skills to knock it out, at no cost.
