Is it because of how the crossover mounts onto the frame? Is it possible that the mounting holes and crossover holes in the newer mufflers would connect to the '05 crossover tube? That's what I'm hoping for because the pavement chewed my mufflers up and I can get new '07 mufflers for a song. Sorry about beating on this subject but I'm pretty desperate. I appreciate your input.

I believe it is because the crossover connections do not match up - at least that is what I recall reading on these forums. Have you tried a search? Maybe someone who has actually tried it will chime in.

I have searched my eyeball out. Someone who seem to know for sure said that ALL '04 - '13 Sporty mufflers will interchange except of a clearance groove in the mufflers for long shock Roadsters.
Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate your input. I know '07 and up models had EFI with catalytic converters, but would the catalyst create too much back pressure for a stock engine?
