hey guys im pretty new to this so i apologize if there is a simple solution im over looking.

im looking to either buy or trade for a matte white/black Nightster tank or the all black nightster tank with the red line to put on my 2015 iron 883

(im converting it to a nightster)

would it be better to have my stock tank painted or just buy the tank? where could i find a tank? ebay has been no help.

 

your stock tank is a better quality tank then the raw tanks you see on ebay. I just got a raw tank paint in nov. the inside rusted to **** because the painters took forever to pain it. the end product came out great( with small quality issues) I spend 225 on the tank and 450 on the paint. there are some online shops that will sell you a stock Harley tank with pain for a good price. or the Harley dealer has black tanks for 950 plus tax.

this place gave is price of around 600 for a black 3.3 tank. which i believe are original Harley tanks that they fix up and repaint.
