Put the SE SO pipes on today, have 500 miles on the bike, now it sounds like a Harley, very happy with the sound (neighbors might not be). I was not happy with the Honda sound of the stock pipes, Harley should be embarrassed. The A/C is next, sill do it right before the 1000 k service so I can get the download and service in one trip. Was wondering if teh SE exhaust gaskit make any marked improvement? Plan to wrap the header pipes and SO's with heat wrap and paint black, think this will add to the overall Rat bike appearance. The SE pipes sound so much better on the Nightster than they do on the RKC, much better.

 

I have the SE SP's (Street Performance) pipes and others have the SE II's..what is an SO - do you mean slash out SP's?..that's what I have.

 

Slip ons = SO, they are also slash out cuts.

 

I did the SE A/C, and the SE SP SO's as well...LOL Everyone says it sounds great! I agree. Just right. It barks when I get on it, and pers down the road. Still loud enough to ruffle the neighbors feathers though...I got 400 miles on mine so far. so good choice IMHO.
