Patriot Defender 2 into 1. Sound is deep and screams when opened up. They also have a flap that you can close to make the exhaust quiet down when you need to, if you need to but I will be cutting mine out. Don't know about MY specific power and torque curves for this pipe yet but the butt dyno definitely noticed a difference over the Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes, which weren't bad.

The Vance and Hines did sound a bit "tinny" to me but not bad sound at all. The torque and power curve suffered a bit compared to the defenders but was a big improvement over stock exhaust.

Hammer performance has tested and compared dyno runs with several different pipes including Patriot Defenders. Check it out http://www.1250kits.com/ttxlexhaust.shtml

I believe you're going to be very happy with the TTI's; the improvements in low and mid range torque, the smoother throttle response, and deeper tone of the pipes over the stock baffles, the Thunder Torque Inserts really are one of the best bang for the buck upgrades you can do.

And since you mentioned it, here's the video featuring the Short Shots and the TTI's

Check this thread...many different types.

Currently using Rush 3" with 2" baffles. Good sound and performance, but I do have a PowerVision tuner.

I went a different route. I have the Cobra (6081) slip ons with the race pro tips. Very deep low rumble and not tinny at all. Plenty loud and definitely added mid torque. I've not seen them on any other sportiest where I live. Finally, I got them online for $256. I get a lot of compliments on the sound. I've since added the screaming eagle AC and a V&H FP3 and will say the whole package just works!

Revzilla has a video that compares their sound with some others.

Patriot defender with the valve/flap cut out.. For $350, you can't beat this pipe. I also powder coated the heat Shields matte black
It sounds as good as it performs

I keep fighting the urge to go to a 2 into one. If I do, this will be what I get.

I have SE II pipes and mufflers. Great sounding pipes with enough back pressure to run the bike well in the low to mid range.
