Hi Guys

Does anyone know why a 2001 quick detachable Harley sissy bar would not fit a 2015 Iron?

I can not see any change in bolt holes or indicator location/style between these years so don't understand why there is any difference?

Just want to know as have a chance to get one cheaper than buying a new 2015 kit but want to check if there could be a problem with fitment first.

Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

Totally different animal.

 

The 04+ ones are wider. They widened the fender in 2004 for the rubbermounts and their 150 size tire.

 

Thanks guys I understand now why there is dog leg in the 2015 plates now.
