I took the street glide shocks off my dyna and put them on the 883. Put the chrome sleeved shocks on the dyna to replicate a 60' FLH. Also added a Softail front end to the Dyna.
I'm seriously thinking about putting an FLS front end on the 883-minus the light bar. Can't seem to find much info about that. The bike is a 2007 883..The air shocks feel pretty good. I'll start a new thread about FLS front end to sportster. Black tins up front like on the softail slim-Sportster slim with 16" wheels. Thinking about getting some led sled floorboards too.

Heres the Dyna also. Waiting on softail axle to button it up.

I went with individual valve that I bought at Lowes. Here are some picks of the shocks on the bike. If you look closely at the first pic, you'll see the individual air valves. I used the HD hand pump and kept them between 12-15 lbs of air. The ride was so much better then the stock shocks. I have since sold the bike, but that and the Mustang solo seat made that bike a joy to ride.
I'm glad to see you didn't use lowering blocks with them as I have a Low also. I was worried the shocks would raise the bike up too much in the rear.

I made a mistake on my 2014 Iron 883. I bought a set of 11" 430 series from progressive. SHocks are amazing but i can only ride solo as it bumps hard on everything with 2 people.

So, im looking for a solo + 2 up solution, air shocks will solve ?

thanks
Sounds like you have standard springs on the shocks? Perhaps you should have got the heavy duty springs for two-up riding.
As seen in other posts, owners like the air shocks. I am not sure if they are a panacea for your situation.

So I completed my install this past weekend. Had a beautiful 65 degree day in Pittsburgh so even got a test ride in. All I can say is, WOW. Running 0 psi solo, amazing. Had my wife get on the back, have to add air. No pump yet so I'll experiment with different psi levels once I pick one up.

Tools needed: T50 Torx, 1/2" drive ratchet, 1/2" drive torque wrench, 3/4" open ended wrench, motorcycle jack. (Pretty simple).

Pics:

Shocks installed, brass plugs still in. I recommend leaving them in until mounted so oil doesn't spill out. Be sure to keep track of top and bottom bolts. I used two washers, top and bottom on each side, total of 8.

Press to fit fitting with 5/32" vacuum line in each shock.

Press to fit wye to get equal pressure in each shock.

Schrader valve zip tied (temporary) in place. I need to find a more solid mounting solution.

All in all, easy install. If I didn't ride 2-up, I would have just left the brass plugs inside the shocks. The press to fit fittings are surprisingly sturdy, easy to disassemble if need be. Make sure to cut the vacuum line squarely with a sharp razor and try to not deform the line.

i got a longer shredder valve from a hose supply store. I removed my battery and drilled a hole and installed the shredder in that spot. looks factory

then I reinstalled the battery and got a AIR pump from ebay $25
