I have 2006.5 1200L with 1500mi. on it and I can't seem to sell it. I'm asking $9,900 for it 'cause it has a transferable, all services paid for up to 20kmi. planfrom the dealer which cost me about 2k. I owe 11k on it. Am I asking too much? I need tips or price suggesstions. It's all stock except for the seII pipes. Thanks!
I bought mine just two weeks ago and the basic price was 9500. That may be one reason you have not sold it yet. Not saying your bike isn't worth it, I am just saying they can get a basic bike for around 9,450. So they may not see what you see.
I bought a 2007 same color as yours in February for $10,200.00 from my local dealer plus they gave me a 1500.00 gift certificate and paid freight and setup. Standard warranty though. Good Luck
The 20% rule applies. When you drive it off the lot, it is worth 20% less then you paid.
On the other hand, people that buy bikes used get a 20% discount off MSRP.
I bought mine for 9500$..Your probably gonna have to take a hit but that just my 2 cents..
If you still owe maybe you can work something out where the person takes over the payments or something.

Is your actual payoff $11k? If so, you're too upside down to sell without coming up with some money to cover the difference and get a clear title. And unfortunately, your $2k service contract is of little value to another buyer unless they plan to have the service work done at the original dealer. (Dealerships love these plans because it creates customer "lock in".) If you're planning on replacing the Sporty with another Harley - you might see if the dealer will transfer your service contract to a new bike.
Worst case scenario is that you end up having to hold on to a helluva bike for a couple of years until you can get your payoff lower.

I second that, and there are plenty of used Sporties on the market.
