Air Cleaner Advice

Air Cleaner Advice
Hey all, looking for comments or reviews on DK's 636v front facing air cleaner. I have an '05 883L, mechanically stock besides SEII slip-ons that came with the bike. I really like the look of the 636v but looking for some real world users with reviews.
New exhaust is on the horizon, just not sure which direction to go. I know I'll have to screw with the jetting, but that's another thread later on.
Also, I'm trying to decide which breather system would be best for my application. Any insight?
Thanks

When it comes to forward facing A/C's they have a different design and in some cases that design can be of help with air flow. The 636v is a patent pending design and can be of significant help. The structure of the tube is designed so that it produces a Venturi Effect which speeds up the air intake velocity flowing into the intake whether the bike is moving or not increasing power across the entire RPM range when compared to other aftermarket A/C's. You can read more about the 636v here: http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/Outl...636V-SP-CS.htm
When it comes to breathers, in the interest of engine performance and longevity it's always better to vent the hot, dirty, oily crankcase air to atmosphere. DK Custom offers 6 different breather options for the 636v to give your bike exactly the look you're after.

You should have good results with your SE-II's and the 636v. On my '06 883 I found with slip-ons and free flowing A/C that a 45 pilot jet, stock main jet, 2 brass #4 shims on the needle and 2 1/3 turns out from light seat of the air/idle mixture screw was a great running combination. Of course those carb settings went right out the window when I did the 1250 NRHS upgrade

I went with the DK Outlaw Black Cyclone as I love the look and i wanted to vent the engine to the atmosphere and not back into the inlet.
