You would have to cut one end off and thread it to put an adjustable hem joint.

Delroy's Garage makes great videos.
Normally the rear brake pedal is not adjustable which sucks. When I took my bike to the dealership to do some upgrades, I also asked them if they can adjust the position of the rear pedal and they confirmed that it could not be adjusted.
You can buy aftermarket brake rods that are adjustable or you can have one made. Check out this Delboy Garage thread on this topic.
