Default Michelin Scorcher Tires, Grip ??

Hey guys, I'm coming off a BMW S1000RR, and enjoyed the lack of "Chicken Strips" on my tires, but now that I have my 2016- 48, how good are these Scorcher Tires.
Given the lack of clearance when we turn our Harley's. I'm planing on New Joker Pegs without the feelers, and I'm wondering, what part of the bike is going to touch down first without the feelers ?? , I'm guessing the pipes ??
These Scorchers seem sticky enough , I hope 🤔

Thanks,

I've got the scorcher tyres on my iron and I have had a few squeaky bum moments with them in the wet! They haven't filled me with confidence haha…I hear the Avon cobra tyres are the ones to go for but don't have any experience with these myself!

My 07 1200N...what I have found touching down first....right side pipes, left side kick stand pivot tab that's welded to the frame.

Yes OEM peg feelers touch before either if these items with my bike.

clearance issues are suspension related

Wink

The Scorchers on my Sporty are fine and we (Mrs B and I) have both ridden it in heavy rain with no probs. Having owned Harleys for decades I always go back to Avons and have them on my Glide, so will probably use them on the Sporty when the time comes. If you do use them be aware that Avon normally recommend higher pressures than in the owners manual. Check their website. Unfortunately many owners fail to realise that when changing to aftermarket tyres they should check what the correct pressures are. Your tyre supplier should advise you IMHO.

Yes, mine came with Scorchers on and I've found them to be very good in all conditions.

Cool

The Scorchers seem fine, I guess I have to get out of Sportbike Mode, and into Harley 48 Mode of riding.
