Default Right Decision?

I hope I made the right decision going with the 1200L. After reading a bunch of stuff on here I see that alot of you know or have yourself gotten rid of the Sportie, especially as a first bike for a shortie like myself For those of you who do have it, especially the ladies, how is it working out? Anything I should know and be aware of? And I'll post picture as soon as I can.

Nothing wrong with a Sportster. I only traded mine because the wife ( the wide glide ) wanted to ride with me now. I have another Sportster that has turned into a project. I love the Sporster, handle great, quick, good milage. Easy to work on.

When I bought my 883L last spring, my original plan was to trade this year, probably for a RoadKing. After over 15,000 miles, I just can't bring myself to part with the Sporty, and I can't talk the "Secretary of War & Finance" into letting me have 2 bikes. So, the RoadKing, will just have to wait.

I'm a female and love my 1200L. People call my bike cute!!! I hate that you don't call a Harley cute.

I put over 200K miles on my old Ironhead. Nothing wrong with a Sportster at all. Currently, my OL has a 1200L, and it's quicker than her 88 cubic inch Lowrider. The only fault I can find with the 1200L is that it is too low to go on my bike jack.

WOW ! 200.000 MILES ON A IRON HEAD.......That is awesome....It always amazes me just how much little respect sportsters get from folks......I never could inderstand just why folks get this crazy idea that a sportster is somehow not quite a harley, or an inferior bike....not quite up to snuff with the bigger displacement bikes etc....Thats ALL a bunch of bullshi$ in my opinion...Sportys are excellent machines, lotsa stamina, endurance....and VERY RELIABLE ENGINES....Damn near bullet proof motors on a sporty ...If one just keeps em maintained properly they will run strong fer years !

Welcome to the forum Michelle, I am new here also. I don't have many miles on my 1200L yet, but I know I still get goosebumps when I look at it.
