Default Transmission Fluid Leak via Cable Adjuster

Apparently transmission fluid will leak through the cable adjuster hardware if it is the lowest point in the system. Opened my Cycle Shell to find this today:

Had it disconnected to re-route for my new bars. Didn't know what it was at first, but then I propped the cable up through the forks and saw it still slowly leaking through the bottom fitting. It was very sludge like. I'm thinking I need to change the fluid.
