I read it and know all about the "problem"

Btw...

Although people do (doesn't make it right ), I wouldn't use those 08-later Touring Brembos on your (06-later) Dyna for the upcoming dual disc conversion

His is a 2001 (2000-2005)...A-OK

Can't get enough of those damn "Smilies"

that adapter issue Lansing was talking is the reason i was able to do dual ness on the sporty using the older dyna adapters.

i am plotting on fat bob/LR caliper(s). the vrod/touring calipers sit at a different angle i believe.

the authentic may be a bit much one in good shape will hurty $. I am looking at a factory 5. that way i HAVE to learn everything as i go and not play wack-a-mole with issues as they crop up AND everything will be brand new. looks like about $30k ($13k-15k on the engine) minimum for a DIY and $35K for a set of vintage headaches, lol

"fun" starts at 5:15

Yep, know all about the dimensions

i am plotting on fat bob/LR caliper(s)...
Good choice, you really only need to get the Right-side, since you already have the Left

...the vrod/touring calipers sit at a different angle i believe.
Well, it's not the "angle", they could be at any angle.

06-later Dynas are the "weirdo". They are the only HD model that moved the caliper mounting bosses on the slider to achieve the 11.8"(300mm) rotor installation from 11.5"

the touring/vrod calipers look like they will dissipate more heat.

we'll have to see what shakes out. you know, unsprung weight and all.

Default added black frame rail covers

I ebay some black frame rail covers and a black rack. the rack is in transit.

If you don't currently donate to the forum, please consider doing so, there is just so much information here that it is almost criminal to not kick in a few bucks for it. why am i saying this? i got stuck at the removal of the rear signal wiring from the rail cover due to the little wiring harness not fitting through the hole through which it ran. i spent about 20 minutes trying to get the wire ends out of the harness without ruining them before having passing thoughts of cutting stuff. then i stopped and thought, " someone else had to of done this before without fu**ing up the wires.

searched the forums and came upon this thread:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...r-removal.html

that led me to this thread:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4277699-post1092.html
which lead me to this video:

followed the advice and made the tool from a paper clip and a cledge hammer. it popped the wire right out... no destruction of wires and introducing gremlins into my system. out-fkn-standing forum! donate!

i know... it looks better with chrome rail covers.... bare with me.... i have a vision
yes.......

Default Airframer Big twin ignition toggle mod

went out to the washing mac.. work bench and and cobbled together my switch harness to connect the new switch to the old wiring.

see.. color taping came in handy.... but, would not have been an issue if i used different colored wires, lol. wires got mixed up while heatshrinking.

i left the ends molested because i'm now considering a better connection and am still thinking about undoing or being able to quickly and cleanly revert to stock with the same ease as a 2014+ bike.

[ordered both a and b.

a:
Amazon.com: Diageng 5 Set 3 Pin Way Car Waterproof Electrical Connector Plug with Wire AWG: Automotive Amazon.com: Diageng 5 Set 3 Pin Way Car Waterproof Electrical Connector Plug with Wire AWG: Automotive

Cancelled order b. type a is what is used on the bikes O2 sensors... just remembered. sticking with a.
