bike passed the suave spray on test. powdery fresh high rev +50mile ride and no leaks. routed oil was all over the bottom of the bike though.

while at the dealer yesterday picking up goodies. i talked to the parts folks about the fun that was going on with the rocker screws. they showed me all the new rocker goods hd replaced. the new gasket sets are serious. hardish black. so i guess the updated them again since i last bought one in 2012/13, when they were orange.

looked at the daymaker and figured i'd test it like all the rest i've gone through. so i ordered it from surdyke. got it in black. they have it for 340

5-3/4 in. Daymaker Signature Reflector LED Headlamp - Black-67700356

went out bombing around to see if the doubled adapter anti-rotation devices would hold.

they did work but, as suggested, i need to have something wider fabbed up.

went by the dealer an picked up my overlay and it confirmed my butt dyno. everything was shifted and if i were to raise the rev limit. it would keep on going but, i'm not doing it. super happy and still need to get down to doc. haven talk to him since Irma.

I'm interested in the results. Probably not interested in 'this version' since its got
a Chrome bezel. Now if they had a gloss black version, maybe.....

Default ignition switch related ignorance fail

while doing normal brain washing, coffee, and work email catch-up this morning, youtube was playing random vids on one of my screens.. v-rod walkthroughrandomly looked over and saw this:

paused it and jumped to outpost alaska parts finder to see what was happening back there:
so... still waiting on the big bear chopper mount(they sent it off to be re-anodized black to hide the engraved "BBC"), have everything else but, will look for an ebay deal on the vrod goods for a day or so before going ahead and ordering the set up from boardtracker along with some other stuff i've been eyeing.

should have zero problems unloading the BBC relocation mount. the vrod mount may be set up for the two pin switch used on the more recent dynas, not the wide blade on the ones i've been fooling with. dremel can fix that but, that may ruin the structural integrity. fun times.

edit:

asked/answered... popped right up by part number. bought . will order 70433-06 from the dealer later.

2004-2013 sportster?
