I'm curious to see what comes of the XR swingarm mod. Can you get a bigger wheel/ tire with that swingarm?

After some confusion and dealer monkey business:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...r-tappets.html

Final parts all ordered should be able to start wiring the exploding engine next week.

i will change the. Clutch out after the engine is working... if it does

Thought you already did that (clutch)... Aaron knows his stuff.
FWIW, I went with their pushrods & reusing stock lifters.

Just wondering, have you got the wideband add-on kit for your tuner?

nope, trick shift showed up after the bike was on the lift. I dont think. It would be wise for me, cus i ride the short bus, to swap out the clutch at the same time as the upgrade. If something was wrong, i would know where to start looking. Id be chasing my tail for a while.

i didn't get the wide band. I did consider an actual dyno tune but, i need to get off the Crack.

Reached out to dynojet and got a tune made for the stage 4 kit. those folks are awesome. but they said:
"Attached is a base tune for this bike; this tune should be considered a starting point for fine tuning. We would recommend using wideband o2 sensors for this fine tuning, our Target Tune or AutoTune Pro module would be our recommended tool."
so that may be on the radar.

also finally got the rear head temp sensor out. used a 1/2" deep wall socket and cut a slot in it with a diamond grinding set on the power drill and dremel:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...mp-sensor.html

and found a bunch of xr belt guards for $5 on ebay:

From what I remember, on a naturally aspirated engine you want a little roughness in the ports for turbulence but not in the combustion chamber because the "high" spots will get heated up and can cause premature detonation.

Cover up those cylinder studs with some lengths of garden hose to protect your new pistons when you go to install them.
