Serial data also goes to TSM/TSSM so if that is screwed I suspect the ECM may not want to start the engine.
Probable,

I'm in ignorance here. My Backyard Mechanicness and Lifetime Studentness is coming back online.

multiple storylines are currently running;

the black rear lights I bought to resolve the chrome light (signals) are 3 wire connections vs the 883CN 2 wire connections. Quick research says that the 1 of the 3 wires can simply be bound of and not used. I must figure that out and was going to be lay and use positaps to try to determine which wires were nessesary to used the 3 wire signals on a 2 wire system. I'm assuming 1 of the three wires runs a second filament.... 🤔 learning and backyard wizardry.

Honestly I had already started on the that project and it may be the "cause" of the other "situation". The rear lights have all been removed ... I've probably introduced issues and complications that have me going off in all sorts of wrong directions.

I'll institute so trial an error wizardry for right now

One of the three is probably a ground wire. Are they LED turn/brake and running lights? Like 1157 dual filament?

This is all a bunch of nonsense

Get a 12 volt battery and test each pair of wires. Probably correct they are a 1157 replacement.

Bike just failed the compression test on both cylinders

Front =0 psi
Rear =35 psi

Both should be 150 ~170+ psi. Not good and i dont know where the issue is even starting. lifters? pretty sure its not Pushrods... busted valves?

the adjustable rods seem ok, locked and tight. I checked them as well but felt no play in the lifters...
