FP3 or just cold mornings?
I have put on an FP3 over the weekend. Downloaded base map because I have not done the stage 1 yet. Road about 120 miles over 2 days with the auto tune and updated the map with the auto tune data. Good weather both days in the upper fifties. I kept the auto tune on for the ride yesterday. Morning was 38 and the bike had trouble getting going in idle. I had to really give it the gas to settle in. I assumed it was because of the cold. Yesterday afternoon it did the same thing on start up. Temp in the low 50s again. Is this something with the FP3, the auto tune, just the cold? When the engine is warm and I turn it off and back on it goes to idle fine. Thanks in advance

When you are in auto-tune you are not running a great map...it is modified to accommodate the auto-tune process.
Since auto-tune does not function until the bike is warmed up, it is best to not start the auto-tune process until it is warmed up.

'Not understanding why temps should be a problem, with any tuner?
For close to 4 years now I've been running a PV tuner and regardless of whether it was 30°F or 90°F outside my bike would always start and idle the same, with both the original "canned MAP" and subsequent autotune MAP[s]. In fact, my bike likes the cold weather better...it's a dense air thing.
Given V&H's less than stellar reputation of idiosyncrasies with their FoolPak® series of tuners, I'm surprised anyone is willing to take a chance with them. I suppose the main reason people still buy V&H is the lower price point, but...
I know it's tough to not spend money when it's burning a hole in your pocket, and when you've already spent hundreds in goodies, which you anxiously await the delivery of from the big Brown truck so you can hang all this new crap off your bike, but having sense enough to save your $$ (a hundred fifty+ extra) for a better tuner would be a more valuable investment in your bikes performance and your own sanity, than buying a less expensive product and finding out the hard way about its issues or limitations. Observe the all too often reported reality:
FoolPak® owner gettin' the business: + =
Power Vision owner gettin' on with business!: + =
Power Vision!! Ah hahahahahahaha!!!

New FP3 Workin, Fine (2016-48)
Did my first Auto-tune session today. My set up so far is the V&H Grenade Air Intake, and still using Stock Pipes. The Map they have available for this set up is Amazing. Throttle response is spot on, and the bike pulls like a Bull However it did suck the Gas.
My next Auto-Tune will be with Most likely the Grenades Exhaust, when my wallet gives me permission.

Looks like you got your answer from V&H and I will say I am extremely impressed with my experience with the FP3 as well as V&H's customer support. My 2015 48 with grenades, hiflo grenade ac, and FP3 is an awesome set-up. About to buy another FP3 for my 15 SGS to replace the crap HD download.
