Default Cleaning Whitewalls on Sportster 72

I just bought a used 2013 Sportster 72. Only 3,200 miles, but the front tire looks more like brown walls than white walls.

I took a sponge and some soap and it does get cleaner. I'm thinking it will go way faster if I get some of those Magic Eraser Abrasive sponges.

My question is. How thick is the white material? I'm worried about scrubbing it with abrasives and going through the white.

There are whitewall cleaners at your local auto supply store. It shouldn't take too much scrubbing.

Easiest thing ever to clean white walls: an SOS pad. Some people use ScotchBrite pads but you have to do quite a bit of rubbing with those. A wet SOS pad will clean white walls in literally less than a minute, and will not damage them at all. They will be as white as the driven snow.

I defy anyone to find something that cleans a whitewall faster or better. Or cheaper!

Westley's Bleach White. It was made for white walls and has been around 60 to 70 years.

Ok, I have some SOS pads, but I was worried something that strong would just sand the white off.

No, they aren't that fragile. Just try a small area, you don't even have to press hard. Post back with the result.

Have to agree with using Westley's Bleach White. Good stuff and requires very little scrubbing if any at all.

Had wide ww's on my old V-star.
#1 tip is to keep up with keeping them clean!
If real dirty I used a combo of ScotchBrite pad, Bleachwhite & magic eraser.
If you keep up with them, i found that the water-less orange pumas hand cleaner & a ScotchBrite works great!

I use Bleach White or some Ajax on my King. Those WW are part of the rubber so they're not going to rub off.
