Default 05 883 custom wheel change ?

Hi My son has an 05 883 with the solid mag rear wheel. I am told it may have a 3/4" axel. here is the question. can he change to like a RK wheel? are the bearings changeable? will the wheel fit? Thanks Mike. like this one

There are subtle differences between Sporty and big twin wheels, which will get in the way. For a simpler life to stick with a spoked Sporty wheel of the same period, which were used on other models. That way you can swap over rotor and pulley and be done.

The '05-'07 Sportsters have a 1" rear and 3/4" front axles.
'04 is the only year rubber-mount Sportster that has a 3/4" rear axle. They have a particular swingarm, too. 3/4" front.
'08-up have 25mm on both axles.
