Default 13" and 15" rear shocks

If anyone has installed either 13" or 15" rear shocks on your 48, let me know what your experience Has been. Looking to remove the rear fender while raising the rear and would like to know what each length looks and acts like. Thanks for any feedback.

Setting aside looks, a major change at the rear, like 15" shocks, will seriously change steering geometry, as well as looking odd IMHO. 13" shocks are in the normal range of lengths that are stock on some Sporties and I have them on my SuperLow. Why do you ask about the 15" shocks? Which brand are you looking at?

Im looking to raise and chop the rear to the seat. When Installing my Progressive shocks I used the jack to mock up the two different ride heights. I agree that the 13" shocks would not look too dispropotionate but I like the 15" ride height. Hoping that someone has tried these two setups and could give their experiences.

I haven't tried it but I would assume you would have a more aggressive stance (more like a sports bike) with 15" shocks. Unless you are doing some serious peg-scrapping riding right now, I am not sure if it will help you too much.

15" Burly Brand Stilettos.

Not a 48, but 1250 kitted 883 Iron.

You have to relocate your rear master cylinder to use 15" shocks.

14" shocks would be the max I would use and only if I raised the front end 1.5" (easy with Roadster damping rods) to compensate for the lift in the rear. O wait you have a 48 not sure about the damper rods in a 48?
