a flash light, a fish hook/line. the little seafoam cap thing has a loop that you can hook. taking the tank off is probably your best bet. it's easy takes maybe 5 minutes.

Lots of sensible suggestions! I would certainly take a look inside with a torch, just in case it's in view. Costs nothin' to try and if you can see it a thin length of wire with a small hook bent into one end may pluck it out. Otherwise get busy and take the tank off!

Using an american "torch" would certainly solve one problem, but it would create a lot more in the process. **BOOM**

You could always get 5 friends a hell of a lot of beer and turn the whole bike upside down and shake it out. It saves the trouble of having to disconnect and wrench on anything.
